Journal 12/23/2033 (Friday)

Woody's World is ready for Christmas more than ever! This year is particularly special because it is the first Christmas here, and it's going to be better than ever! The snow covers the ground like a silk blanket. It is the most perfect snow and it always looks nice. All the buildings are strewn with lights of every color. Woody's World honors the true meaning of Christmas while still having fun. There have been many festivities and there are more to come tomorrow! We all serve one another more than ever this time of year. It's truly the most wonderful time of the year.

Journal 7/30/2033 (Wednesday)

Dear Journal,
Today was a rather busy day for me. After work my wife and I had to pick up our kids at school. After that we dropped them off at home. Then we had to make our way to the Woody's World Welfare Well. I love going there because it has such a divine purpose. We collected the donations to the Well and sent out the money where it was needed at that time. There was some extra so we put in in the Woody's World Welfare Well bank where it would be used when needed. It was about 8:30 when we left and we picked up our two teenagers at the church because they were at their weekly activities. Finally we were able to go home and have dinner. We got the things done that needed to be and now here I am in bed. I'm so thankful every day for this wonderful world that I live in. That's it for today! Goodnight!

Daily Itinerary

Woody's World still uses the standard time as the citizens did in their previous state of living.

Standard Schedule:

Sunday: This is the Sabbath day. Everyone attends church in the morning. The Sabbath day is kept holy. Everyone is off work this day unless their is an emergency. In the evening there is a giant neighborhood potluck where everyone has dinner together depending on where they live.

Monday: We all know everyone hates Mondays. Wrong! In Woody's World everyone loves Mondays! Monday is an extra weekend day. This day people spend time together doing fun things and are able to get their homework done they have been procrastinating about over the weekend. Bedtime on a typical weekday is midnight.

Tuesday: This is is the day where everyone gets back in their routine. School begins at 10:00 A.M. and is over at 3:00 P.M. After work and school everyone is free to do as they like. Most citizens go home and relax and have dinner. After dinner they might take a walk through the Woody's World. The scenery is constantly changing to look even more beautiful.

Wednesday: Wednesday is almost the same as a Monday in Woody's World. After work and school, on the third Wednesday of every month, the parents of each household stop by the Woody's World Welfare Well. This is where each household contributes a small portion of their income that month to those families that are struggling at that particular time. This is also when parents go home and make all of their monthly payments. The teenagers attend their weekly church activities. They get together to have fun and work on those things needed.

Thursday: Thursday is like another Tuesday but everyone recites the National Anthem at 10:15 A.M. Instead of reciting it like a bunch of robots the National Anthem is sung in perfect harmony. The music for the song is heard in all corners of Woody's World. When the anthem is sung it reminds us of where we came from, why we are here, and where we're going. At the end of the school and work day everyone does what they want.

Friday: On Friday the school and work day is shortened. School and work gets out at 12:00 P.M. This day you might go do something fun with your friends or family.

Saturday: The last day of the week. This day everyone gets done what needs to be done at home. Families work together and help out each other with everything. Citizens prepare for the Sabbath day on Saturday and grocery shopping is usually done on this day.

Journal 3/3/2033 (Thursday)

Dear Journal.
Today was just another normal day in my perfect world. What am I saying? There is never a normal day in Woody's World! Every day is full of excitement and new things. On my way to work today I stopped by the candy shop and bought some everlasting gum in all flavors. I'm not kidding when I say every flavor. For example they had authentic Italian pizza gum, crisp apple strudel gum, and even an all american buffet gum flavor! Of course I told the owner he'd better get rid of the American flavor because we had left that place years ago and would never think of going back.
At work I reviewed some of the citizen's surveys on the conditions of Woody's World and of course all of them gave it a five star. But one lady said everything was too perfect so I had her shipped back to the United States of America, if that place still even exists.
After work I came home to my family. My two teenage boys were out back paragliding. They've gotten really good at it. My young daughters were in their life size princess castle playing dress up and my two younger boys were playing in our water park. Of course my wife was in her craft room which is practically every craft store combined into one. As you can tell our life at home is pretty simple. I love hanging out with my family and hearing them laugh.
Later that night we had dinner together and after that we read our scriptures, had family prayer, and got into bed.
    Today was a good day.

Invitation

Dear mother,
I'm not sure if you knew or not, but I have created my own Utopia. It's called Woody's World and everything about it is perfect. I was writing to personally invite you to this wonderful place. In fact I will give you your own personal tour of this place even before you make the choice to move her.  I'm very busy running this place and that's why I've been neglecting to visit with you. If you move here I promise all of your troubles will be gone. You and dad can have your own personally designed house you've always wanted. The Wood family is in charge of running this place and that pertains to anyone related to me including you. I don't mean to call you old, but you have lived a lot longer than I have and your wisdom would greatly benefit the decisions made in this land. I could really use your love, help, and support.
Love your son that actually did something with his life,
Eli

The government of Woody's World would make sure everything is in order and harmony. It would only take control when need be. The entire Wood family would be in charge of keeping the peace. When conflicts arise or when rules and laws are broken, the Wood family would determine the consequences depending on the situation. If new laws are required the Wood Family will discuss the changes needing to happen and a vote will be taken. The people of Woody's World are always allowed to let the Wood Family know of any conflicts or changes needed. Twice a year the people of Woody's World will be given a survey sheet and asked to express their opinions on the conditions of Woody's World. Their opinions will be looked at by the Wood Family and over the next few months changes would be made if required.

Seal and Motto

Here lies the seal and motto of Woody's World. The motto says, "Diliges proximum tuum sicut te ipsum." In English this reads,  " Love thy neighbor as thyself." This is the most important value in Woody's World. Loving everyone creates a world of peace and happiness for all. The earth on the seal signifies that we are all one together. We all have a purpose and we all contribute to the well being of Woody's World.

The Declaration of Woody's World

In the Wood Family Home, December 7, 2014

When in the direction of creating a paradise for myself, my family, and my future family, there is a need to break the bands of government which I have been previously connected with. A polite respect to the inhabitants of the earth requires that I declare the reasons which cause me to detach from my former way of life.
The United States of America was founded on freedom. At the time of its founding, everyone from all over the world heard about this “Utopian” land where you could be free to choose your way of life and everyone was created equal. Everything you worked for was yours, besides the mandatory minimal taxes needed to keep the country in good shape. Religion was a very high priority, in fact this was the number one reason the country was formed. So that we could be free to choose what we believed in and not be persecuted for it. We may still think our country runs on these basic principles, but many of these have been overlooked and distorted.
Today in this country we are taught that we are still equal, but a little too equal. Our government’s unemployment rate has been at an all time though. This isn’t just due to lack of jobs, but laziness at an all time high. It’s sad to see an average middle class family needing both of the parents to work in order to have the basic essentials of life. When a family is unemployed or has a low income they receive many benefits from the government. They receive food stamps, healthcare coverage, free school meals. This sounds like a nice way to live, not having to work while enjoying life. So many people have gotten used to this way of life that they never want to go back to work again. I’m not saying people who actually are in need of help shouldn’t receive it, but they should be required to have a source of employment by a certain deadline so they can’t take advantage of this way of life. It’s sad to see a poor family with low income or unemployment receiving help from the government and having cable or dish TV, eating out every day, and buying expensive foods at the grocery store. The welfare system in my world would be rewritten to make sure those that work are being able to keep what they’ve earned. Each household would only have to make a payment once a month based on their income that would go to help the poor and needy. Theses poor and needy would be monitored and only allowed to purchase those things that are essential until they are able to get themselves out of their situation. The handicapped and elderly would receive extra assistance if needed.
Today religion is an option. You are either religious or you are not. Many think religion is a waste of time and have no need for it in their life. Our ancestors fought for our country so that we could have religion. In my Utopia, religion will be part of our life every day. We will live by these basic religious values. Family is essential to God’s plan. Now people think family is optional because it’s too much work. We are here on this earth to love and serve others. We are all sons and daughters of God which makes us all brothers and sisters. We need to love everyone and let them know they are loved by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and each individual has a divine purpose. The laws in my Utopia would be based on the Ten Commandments and also many of the laws of the U.S.
For these injustices, I feel the need to break apart from my current society. I declare my need to form a more perfect land because of my current society which has steered away from the values and laws that were first established when forming this country. They have completely overlooked and altered these essential principles and have lost my association and trust.
